Frequently Asked Questions

General Vehicle Wrap Questions

What is a vehicle wrap?

A vehicle wrap is a premium vinyl film applied over your vehicle’s existing paint to add branding, graphics, or a custom finish while also protecting the original paint.
A professionally installed 3M cast vinyl vehicle wrap typically lasts between five and seven years when it is properly cared for.
A vehicle wrap will not damage your paint as long as the paint is in good condition before installation.
MightyWraps can wrap almost any vehicle, including cars, trucks, vans, trailers, semis, food trucks, box trucks, boats, buses, RVs, motorcycles, and most types of specialty equipment.
Vehicle wraps are highly effective for advertising because they generate tens of thousands of daily impressions at a lower cost per impression than most traditional marketing methods.

Pricing, Coverage & Design

How much does a vehicle wrap cost?

The cost of a vehicle wrap depends on factors such as the size of the vehicle, the amount of vinyl coverage, the complexity of the design, and the type of material selected.

A full wrap covers the entire exterior surface of the vehicle for maximum visibility and protection, while a partial wrap covers only specific sections of the vehicle to achieve strong impact at a lower cost.

MightyWraps provides full wrap design services and can either create a custom design from scratch or prepare your existing artwork for accurate, vehicle-ready printing.
MightyWraps can match your brand colors by using color-accurate printing and premium vinyl materials to ensure consistent branding across all vehicles.
MightyWraps provides fleet wrapping services and maintains consistent color, design, and installation quality across every vehicle in your fleet.

Installation & Removal

How long does vehicle wrap installation take?

Wrap installation typically takes between one and three days depending on the size of the vehicle and the complexity of the wrap design.
You should bring your vehicle thoroughly cleaned with no wax or protective coatings so that our team can complete the final surface preparation for proper vinyl adhesion.

You should not install or remove a wrap yourself because improper handling can cause bubbling, tearing, poor adhesion, and even paint damage.

Wrap removal will not damage your paint when it is performed by a professional and when the underlying paint is in good condition.

Mighty Wraps handles projects from start to finish, making the process as seamless as possible. We first meet with customers for a discovery phase to help identify the purpose and end goal of the wrap, outline a budget (we charge by feet of material used), and collect the basics needed for artwork (logos, branding guidelines, etc.).

If customers need graphic design services, we offer a meeting with our in-house graphic designer and the account manager who handles the project (hands-on communication is not only more personal, but also more efficient than emailing back and forth).

We do require an art deposit. Upon approval of the artwork, we typically collect 50% down to cover the material cost and confirm a spot on the schedule.

All of our printing is done in-house on one of our latex printers (HP 800 or HP 750), laminated, and cut into panels to be installed. The print room and wrap room are connected, which makes addressing issues quicker and easier. The wrap room can accommodate a full semi-trailer with room to spare.

We have an additional bay that can house 2-3 other vehicles at the same time. The installs are completed by our 3M certified installer, and (pending pre-inspection), we offer a 1-year warranty on our workmanship. Have a project in mind? Tell us about it!

Materials, Durability & Maintenance

What materials does MightyWraps use?

MightyWraps uses premium 3M cast vinyl materials known for their durability, flexibility, color stability, and long-term performance.
Your wrap may experience some natural fading over time, but 3M vinyl is designed with UV protection to maintain vibrant colors for many years when properly cared for.
You should clean and maintain your wrap by hand washing it with mild soap, avoiding abrasive brushes and harsh chemicals, and keeping high-pressure washers at a safe distance.
Weather can affect the lifespan of a wrap, but proper maintenance significantly reduces wear caused by sun exposure, heat, cold, and other environmental conditions.
A wrap can protect your vehicle’s paint by shielding it from UV rays, scratches, road debris, and everyday wear.
